    MOSQUITO ABATEMENT SUMMER 2010

The City of La Pine did a survey last year regarding the need for mosquito abatement within the city limits of La Pine. Because of the need that the survey revealed, the City has budgeted to have mosquito abatement this summer.

The preferred days for mosquito abatement (fogging) are all dependent upon the weather and the wind. As it can change very quickly, it will be hard to determine just which days the fogging will take place. We will try to keep the citizens updated on our website of which days are planned for this. It will usually occur about 1-2 hours before and after dusk.

The treatment will be applied throughout different neighborhoods each week, so you may see it being applied one week and not the next. It all depends on the weather and the hatches.
