SELECTION OF THE CITY OF LA PINE CHARTER COMMITTEE IS COMPLETE
Congratulations to Bob Steffens, Linda Johnston, Ken Mulenex, Patricia Johnson, Patrice Mousseau, Linda Bauman, Laura Beebe, Sandra Jones and Mary Thorson.
The Committee will act as an advisory body to the City Council and will prepare a draft charter and serve as an advisory body to the City Council concerning the preparation and adoption of the charter; inform and educate the community about the process and purpose of the city charter and the importance of the city charter; solicit community input concerning the city charter; and provide advice to the City council on charter issues or matters concerning or affecting the City. The Committee will review charter-related issues that have been referred to the Committee by the City Council from time to time and will make recommendations on these issues.
APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE
The City of La Pine seeks City resident volunteers to apply for a new Public Works Committee. This is an advisory committee, to assist in the development of the City’s Public Work’s plan and provide advice to the City Council on general public works related matters concerning or affecting the City of La Pine.
The Committee will consist of seven voting members. The following City resident memberships are still available:
One voting member each from 2 of the 3 neighborhoods identified in the City’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan map (South and Central neighborhoods) for a total of 2 voting members.
