    CITY OF LA PINE NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
    THE LA PINE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 

    Notice is hereby given that the City of La Pine will conduct a public hearing during the City Council's regular meeting Wednesday, February 10, 2010  6:00 p.m. at the La Pine Senior Center 16450 Victory Way La Pine, Oregon  97739  to continue review of the draft Comprehensive Land Use Plan and establishment of an Urban Growth Boundary (UGB). This meeting will take place in conjunction with the regular City Council Meeting that will be held at the Senior Center in La Pine.

    NOTICE OF LA PINE CITY COUNCIL ORIENTATION/TRAINING

    Notice is hereby given that a Councilor Orientation/Training is scheduled for the La Pine City Council on February 16, 2010 at the Finley Butte Park Building, 51390 Walling Lane, La Pine from 3-6 pm.  The purpose of this orientation/training workshop is to provide a basic foundation concerning the roles, responsibilities, authority and rules that govern Oregon’s city officials.

    Pursuant to ORS 192.640, this notice includes a list of the principal subjects anticipated to be considered or discussed at the above-referenced meeting.  This notice does not limit the ability of the City Council to consider or discuss additional subjects.  The meeting is subject to cancellation without notice.  This meeting is open to the public and interested citizens are invited to attend.  This meeting is a public meeting not a community forum; audience participation is at the discretion of the City Council.  The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities.  A request for an interpreter for the hearing impaired or for other accommodations for persons with disabilities should be made at least 48 hours before the meeting to Luana K. Damerval at (541) 536-1432.

     

    LA PINE TOURISM COMMITTEE SEEKS VOLUNTEER

    The La Pine City Council is seeking a volunteer to be on the La Pine Tourism Committee. The La Pine Tourism Committee was established to promote the community of greater La Pine through tourism and economic development activities and services throughout the whole year. Non residents of the City may also apply. Please contact City Recorder Luana Damerval at 541-536-1432 or come into City Hall during regular business hours to apply. Deadline to submit an application is February 11, 2010 at 4:30 pm.

     

    TOURISM GRANT APPLICATION

    The City of La Pine is inviting organizations involved and/or interested in the promotion of tourism and development of tourist events to apply for the City of La Pine Tourism Grant. These grant funds are generated from Transient Room Tax revenue and must be spent on tourism promotion, events and activities as defined in ORS320.300-350. Grant applications must be received at the La Pine City Hall by 5 pm on March 1, 2010. Postmarks will be accepted. The application, funding criteria, and other information is available at City Hall located at 51340 Hwy. 97 in the South County Services Building (South of Shop Smart) or by clicking on this link.
